Melbourne Tartan Day Parade – Collins Street | Pre & Post-Event Drinks at Invergordon Bar

Melbourne is turning tartan for the day as the Melbourne Tartan Day Parade takes over Collins Street on Sunday 5 July 2026 at 2:00 PM—and there’s no better place to start (or finish) than Invergordon Bar.

With over 200 pipers, drummers, and Highland dancers marching from Old Treasury Building down Collins Street before finishing at Regent Place, it’s set to be one of the most unique and lively events in the city.

Before heading into the CBD, swing by Invergordon Bar in Docklands for a proper pre-event pint. We’re located in the Free Tram Zone, making it an easy, quick ride into the city—just jump on the 86, 70 or 35 tram and you’ll be there in minutes. Perfect for meeting up, getting into the Scottish spirit, and kicking off the day right (especially if you’re already rocking some tartan).

We’ll be open from 12 PM, pouring cold beers, properly poured Guinness, and a standout selection of Scottish whisky to match the occasion.

After the parade and recital wrap up, head back through and keep the celebrations going. It’s the ideal spot to warm up, relive the highlights, and carry on the day with fellow tartan-clad fans.
